At this year’s Monaco Yacht Show, Polish shipyard Sunreef Yachts unveiled its boldest project yet, the 65M Explorer, a 65-metre luxury catamaran that, once built, will hold the title of the world’s largest catamaran. Boasting a volume of 1,800 GT, the vessel is designed to combine exceptional comfort, long-range cruising efficiency, and true explorer autonomy.
The exterior design carries the yard’s signature style with a dramatic reverse bow, sweeping curves, and vast expanses of tinted glass. However, the 65M Explorer pushes the boundaries further with expedition-ready features such as a retractable A-frame crane, capable of handling substantial tenders, submersibles, or even a 13.7-metre chase boat.
Life on board centers around a spectacular owner’s suite, which spans the upper deck and comes complete with floor-to-ceiling windows, a private foredeck lounge, his-and-hers bathrooms, a walk-in wardrobe, an office, and even a two-person bathtub with a view. Guest accommodations include two VIP suites and four additional cabins, while 22 crew members will ensure world-class service throughout every journey.

Despite its rugged explorer profile, the 65M Explorer is every bit a luxury yacht. Leisure amenities include two pools (one six metres long), multiple indoor and outdoor lounges, and a sprawling beach club with fold-down platforms, toy storage, and a gym. A moon-shaped bar crowns the bridge deck, complementing an array of both formal and informal dining spaces.
Performance is equally impressive, with a cruising speed of 14 knots and a top speed of 18 knots. The catamaran hull design particularly enhances the beach club experience, where a lowering swim platform transforms into a waterside gallery, large enough for a seven-metre tender and Jet Skis or a sun-soaked lounge area at the water’s edge.
The 65M Explorer marks a new era for Sunreef, whose current flagship, the Sunreef 43M Eco, is under construction and scheduled for delivery next year.
